Blessings
Esau had a birthright as a
worthy/precious asset, unfortunately, he was careless. He never appreciated
what he had until he lost it. Esau sold his birthright to his younger brother;
he lost his position and he equally lost his blessings to Jacob. He mortgaged
his tomorrow because of food.
He deserved blessings from his
father. Unfortunately for him, those blessings were irreversible blessings. A
loss to Esau became a gain to Jacob.
What Provoked The Irreversible Blessings?
Jacob gave his father to eat. After
eating, Isaac pronounced irreversible blessings on Jacob – The Power of Food.
Further examples buttressing the power of food are;
-
Genesis
18:2-10: Abraham entertained three divine visitors; he gave them food to eat
and water to drink. Abraham and his wife were blessed with the long awaited
miracle (Isaac).
-
I
Kings 17:10-16: The widow of Zaraphath gave Elijah food and after he finished
eating, he blessed her and lack became a thing of the past in her life.
-
Exodus
12: The children of Israel ate the Lord’s Supper, after eating, the Lord
executed their enemies.
-
Genesis
19: Lot entertained two Angels who were on destructive assignment which led to
them sparing Lot’s family.
What is The Food of God?
The answer is PRAISE.
When you pray, you get God informed
but when you PRAISE, you get God involved.
-
God
dwells in the place of PRAISE: Psalm 22:3.
-
When
you Praise Him, you glorify Him: Psalm 50:23a.
-
PRAISE
provokes divine Intervention: Acts 16:25&26.
-
PRAISE
provokes Divine Blessings: Psalm 67:5&6.
-
PRAISE
can provoke Victory without a Fight: 2 Chronicles 20:20-25.
