Time For Action

TOPIC: TIME FOR ACTION
TEXT: LUKE 15:11-24
PREACHER: PASTOR J.T. KALEJAIYE

Every action provokes a reaction. Your present situation/location is not your final destination; therefore, stop wandering about on what to do and how to do it. Do something quickly. Many people talk but they do not act, they know what to do but they do not do them. There is a time to talk and there is a time for action. If you do not arise, you cannot arrive. Excuses, delay and procrastination are enemies of progress. Procrastination is the thief of opportunity. You must reject the devil’s offer if you want to go far. Whatever you want to do, do it fast – John 9:4. You must take some actions before you see God in action. Your action must provoke divine unction before things will begin to function for you.
The woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:28 acted on what she said and she was made whole immediately. Peter, in Luke 5:5&6 acted upon divine instruction and his action provoked an overflowing blessing. Brother, that good dream of yours will not be realized until you get out of bed and act/work towards the manifestation.
·         Vision without provision = TELEVISION
·         Vision without action = HALLUCINATION
·         Vision without performance = Daydream
·         Vision pursued is mission accomplished.

The bible text reveals three stages that the prodigal son passed through
-          Connection
-          Disconnection
-          Reconnection/Action stage

STAGE 1: The prodigal son was connected to his father/source; He never lacked anything. He had access to everything his father owned. He was always eating the desirable and not the available. His father made the desirable available and affordable for him.

STAGE 2: The prodigal son voluntarily disconnected from his father/source; He thought he could make it without his father – John 15:5b. He was in a hurry. He didn’t want to grow up but he chose to go up. If you appear too early before your time, you will disappear and expire when your time comes. Initially, things went fine with him but at the latter stage, he began to suffer. His life attracted many friendly and unfriendly friends. In prosperity your friends know you but you know your friends in adversity. One day, he made up his mind to return to his father/source when the suffering became unbearable.

STAGE 3: THE LOST BUT FOUND SON WAS RECONNECTED; ACTION TIME; He made up his mind to return to his father. He said it and he acted (did) it. If head not acted fast, his story would have been bitter and not better.
You can still be reconnected if you come back to Jesus today. ACT NOW!!! Avoid giving excuses because those who give excuses do not go far.
Romans 8:35
