Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye - Parental Blessing

TOPIC: PARENTAL BLESSING
PREACHER: PASTOR J.T. KALEJAIYE

Parental blessings are blessings from our biological parents or guardians.
NB: Your parents do not need to be pastors before they can pray for you.

In Genesis 49, Jacob called all his sons for a crucial family meeting; it was a meeting of rewards; a meeting of the father’s blessings and curses. It was a meeting of commendation and condemnation. Joseph received from his father concentrated and undiluted blessings – Genesis 49:25-26.

Parental blessings are blessings that no medicated soap can wash away.

In Genesis 27, Isaac pronounced irreversible blessings on Jacob; those blessings were meant for Esau but they were diverted to Jacob. Jacob got his father’s blessings after he provided food for his father.

Do you desire parental blessings? Then like Jacob, take care of your parents; make them happy.  Please do not forget your parents or people. Whatever it is you want to do for them do it fast/now. Each day that passes takes them closer to “HOME” – 1 Timothy 5:8, Proverbs 23:22, Exodus 20:12.

In Genesis 48:13-21, Joseph took his two sons, Ephraim and Manaseh to Jacob his father. Jacob was to place his right hand on Manasseh being the first son and his left hand on Ephraim, the younger son but reverse was the case. His hands were placed the other way round on the sons. Joseph wanted to correct him but Jacob refused.

QUESTION: Have you been blessed by your parents? How often do you receive their blessings?
