Divine Direction
PREACHER: PASTOR J.T. KALEJAIYE
To direct means to guide or to lead or cause to go somewhere.
God can direct you.
Satan too can direct you.
Man can also direct you.
If God is your director, your pains will end in praise.
If God is your director, you will end well. Proverbs 3:6
David acknowledged God – 2 Samuel 5:19.
WHY SHOULD I MAKE GOD MY DIRECTOR?
If you make God your director, He will direct you to the right place: The right place is your duty post; it is a place where God wants you to be. Your location can determine your allocation. If you are in the right place, what other people are running after will run after you. Abraham was directed by God to the right place – Genesis 12. God also directed Isaac to the right place – Genesis 26:2. God directed Jacob to the right place – Genesis 35:1. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob obeyed their director and they were all blessed. When God directs you, His presence will go with you.
If you make God your director, He will direct you to the right side (A place of blessing): It means blessings have locations. In Luke 5, Jesus directed Peter to launch his net into the deep (a place of overflowing blessing). Also in John 21:2-6, after Peter and six other disciples of Jesus failed to catch any fish, they were directed by Jesus to cast their nets to the right side of the ship and there was indeed a catching after their casting. The right side is a place where little efforts yield great results. The right side is a place of overflowing blessings. The right side is a place of productivity.
If you make God your director, He will direct you to a place of safety/security: in 1Kings 17:2&3, God directed Elijah to the Brook area when the enemies were after his life. Elijah escaped death.
If you make God your director, He will direct you to your helpers: In 1Kings 17:9, when the brook was dried up, God directed Elijah to a widow in Zarephath. God told him He had commanded a widow to sustain him.
If you make God your director, He will direct your helpers to you: 1Kings 17:4&6, Acts 12, , 2Kings 5:3, 2Kings 5:10.
