The Flood Of Unending Favour

TOPIC: THE FLOOD OF AN UNENDING FAVOR

The word unending means unceasing or perpetual. Favor means an act of gracious kindness or an advantage of benefit of someone or something. The flood of unending favor therefore means flood of unceasing or perpetual kindness. There is deserved favor and there is undeserved or unmerited favor.

PRAYER: Throughout this year, wherever you go, your name and everything about you will favor you.

The personality under consideration is Joseph. Joseph enjoyed the flood of unending favor. Everywhere he went, he enjoyed favor. The unending favor Joseph enjoyed was as a result of the fact that God’s presence followed him everywhere.

PRAYER: With effect from today, wherever you go, the presence of God will go with you and His presence provoke favor in your life in Jesus’ name.

1.       Joseph enjoyed favor in his father’s house. Genesis 37:5-9.

Joseph saw greatness. He was on top, no wonder he became a topic. When you are on top, you become a topic. Joseph saw greatness, his brothers had eyes but they never saw beyond the physical. Many eyes look but few eyes see. Sometimes you have to close your eyes in order to see. Joseph was asleep when the door of revelation opened for him. Joseph enjoyed a preferential treatment. His father loved him more than all his children – Genesis 37:3. His father did not hide his affection for Joseph; he even demonstrated it by giving Joseph a designer garment (a coat of many colors). When chapter 49 (Genesis 49), the chapter of reward was opened, Joseph was highly favored. He received the blessings of heaven above, the blessings of the deep, the blessings of the breasts and the blessings of the womb – Genesis 49:25&26.

2.       Joseph received favor in Portiphar’s house- Genesis 39:6. Joseph was well favored. His master made him an overseer in his house and over all that he had. Joseph was not only blessed. He also became a blessing. His life affected many positively.

3.       Joseph received/obtained favor in the prison- Genesis 39:21&22. The Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. The keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hands all the prisoners that were in the prison and whatsoever they did there.

4.       Joseph obtained favor in King Pharaoh’s palace – Genesis 41:39-45. After Joseph interpreted the king’s dreams, the king promoted him and made him his second in command.

PRAYER: Brethren, like Joseph, God will bless you and turn you to a blessing in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINTS

1.       Father, like Joseph, wherever I go, please let your presence go with me and let me obtain favor in Jesus’ name.

2.       Father, like Joseph, bless me and make me a channel of blessing in Jesus’ name.

3.       Father, like Joseph, let all my mockers/enemies work/bow for me to enjoy in Jesus’ name.

4.       Father, like Joseph, please turn every stumbling blocks on my way to stepping stones in Jesus’ name.
