Life Without Christ

TOPIC: LIFE WITHOUT JESUS

TEXT: LUKE 15:11-20

A life without Christ is like a plug without a socket.

A life without Christ will suffer crisis.

A life without Christ is to be pitied and not to be envied.

A life without Christ cannot know peace because Jesus is the price of peace.

A life without Christ is in total darkness and can fall anytime. A life without Christ can do/achieve nothing – John 15:5^b.

The above bible passage tells us the story of a son/a younger son
who later became a lost/prodigal son who later became a repentant son.

Three important terminologies were discovered from the passage, they are;

CONNECTION

DISCONNECTION

RE-CONNECTION

1.       CONNECTION: Your connection can determine your collection. Initially, the son or the younger son was connected to his father/source. The connection gave him access to many things. He was comfortable until the disconnection from his source/father.

2.       DISCONNECTION: He became a lost or prodigal son when he disconnected from his father/source.

3.       RECONECTION: One day, he realized who he was (a son and not a slave). He repented and went back to his father/source. He thought he was going to be a slave under his father but his father was merciful and he forgave him; he clothed him and accepted him as a son.

Many of us have disconnected from Jesus and we have been moving from one crisis to another. Remember, a life without Christ will be ruined by Satan- John 10”10. A life without Christ has no hope of eternity, in other words, a life without Christ cannot access the father- John14:6. A life without Christ will experience the wrath of God- John 3:36. Finally, a life without Christ is an outdated and expired life- 2 Corinthians 5:17.

NB: Are you still connected to Jesus or you are disconnected? There is room for a reconnection provided you repent fast……..

PRAYER POINTS

1.       Father, please have mercy on me in Jesus’ name.

2.       Father, please don’t let me depart from your presence and don’t let your presence depart from me in Jesus’ name.

3.       Father, please destroy anything that connects me to Satan in Jesus’ name.

4.       Father, please decorate me and let me be celebrated in Jesus’ name.
