Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye - Above Only
TOPIC: ABOVE ONLY
PREACHER: PASTOR J.T. KALEJAIYE
This is the
will of God for anyone who is willing to pay the price – Deut. 28:13.
Brethren,
God did not create you to be a spectator; a spectator watch things happen.
God created
you to be a player; a player make things happen.
God formed
you in order to be above only and to remain on top – Genesis 1:26.
Our focus
today is Joseph. Joseph had a background but his background did not put him on
the ground. He was above and not beneath. Everywhere Joseph went, he ruled and
he reigned.
Right from
his father’s house, Joseph ruled; he was appointed the commissioner for
information – Genesis 37:2b.
In the
prison, Joseph ruled and reigned – Genesis 19:22&23.
In King
Pharaoh’s palace, after Joseph interpreted the king’s dream, the king made him
a prime minister, not by election but by selection/appointment. – Genesis
41:41&43.
Joseph was
above only because he met with some conditions/requirements;
1.
He was divinely connected: For this reason,
everywhere he went, he received divine favor and support. Joseph knew God and
God knew him. He was on the Lord’s side and the Lord was on his side. Your
connection can determine your collection.
2.
Joseph had a vision/dream of greatness: Your
vision can determine your future.
3.
Joseph was committed and hardworking: Genesis
37:2, Genesis 39:4. Proverbs 12:24.
4.
Joseph was a blessing: He affected many lives
positively; Joseph was a blessing to his father, no wonder he received his
father’s blessing- Genesis 49:25&26. He was a blessing to his wicked
brothers; he forgave, accommodated and fed them during famine. He was a
blessing to the chief butler, Potiphar, King Pharaoh and to the entire Egypt.
