From Expectation To Realization

TOPIC: FROM EXPECTATION TO REALIZATION

TEXT: MARK5:22-43

The above passage contains the stories of

a.       A woman who had an issue of blood for 12 years and

b.      Jarius, whose 12 year old daughter was sick and later, died.

The woman’s problem defiled medications. She had a problem that consumed her purse and her body. It also affected her emotionally, physically, mentally and financially.

Jarius on the other hand was a ruler of the Synagogue. He was troubled because his daughter was infected with a disease which later took her life.

There are few lessons to take home from the stories of these personalities;

1.       Good problems provoke Miracles: The woman’s and Jarius’ problems are considered good because they led to miracles.

2.       They both went to Jesus for help: Do you need help? Then go to Jesus for help and He will help you. Matthew 11:28. The woman stood for herself while Jarius stood in gap for his daughter. You can stand for yourself; you can equally stand in gap for anyone irrespective of the distance. Christ is all you need in order to meet your needs.

3.       The woman touched Jesus’ garment before she got her healing while Jesus touched Jarius’ daughter before she was restored. When Jesus touches you, there will be a result, so also when you touch Jesus; there will definitely be a result.

4.       Your Miracles can locate you anywhere: The woman got her miracle on the way while Jarius’ daughter got hers at home.

5.       Jesus has the ability to solve both personal and family problems: The woman had a personal problem while Jarius had a family problem.

6.       Faith provokes the Miraculous: The woman and Jarius demonstrated faith before they got their miracles. Mark 5:34. Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible, Mark 9:23.

7.       Problems have expiry date: The woman’s problems lasted for 12 years before it expired. Jarius’ daughter was dead for few hours and later resurrected. Jesus terminated sorrow and gave them joy.

8.       Expectations can lead to Realizations: The woman and Jarius were expectant and Jesus moved them from the level of expectation to the level of realization. They acquired what they desired. Are you expectant? Proverbs 23:18.

PRAYER POINTS

1.       Father, I need a divine touch, please touch every department of my life.

2.       Father, I need help, please help me.

3.       Father, please send my helpers to me; let them locate me now in Jesus’ name.
