There are children of light and there are children of darkness.

There are certain facts you must know about light and 

FACTS ABOUT LIGHT;

1. Light is the opposite of darkness. You must belong to one. If you are not in the light then you must be in darkness.  It's either you are in light or darkness. The choice is yours. But I pray you chose wisely. 

2. God Almighty created light and darkness - Isaiah 45:7. 

3. Light is good, but darkness is bad and evil - Gen 1:4-8.

4. Light and darkness are not permitted to stay together - Gen 1:4b, 2 Cor 6:14b. One must give way for the other. Darkness cannot comprehend light. 

5. It is possible to cross from darkness to light and it is also possible to cross from light to darkness -Ephesians 5:8. Some people were in light but crossed to darkness because of money - John 3:19.

6. Darkness cannot overcome light. You don’t need to struggle. All this spiritual exercises; you don’t need it. If you are where God wants you to be in the light, darkness will run away from you - John 1:5. Darkness can not overcome light so friends are you in the light?

7. There are children of light and there children of darkness. The children of the light are also refer as children of the Day - 1 Thessalonians 5:5, John 3:20, John 8:12, Matt 5:14.

AS CHILDREN OF THE LIGHT GOD DIVINELY EXPECTS THE FOLLOWING!!!

I. God expects us to follow Him. Who you follow determines what follows you - John 8:12. Are you a follower of Jesus or a follower of man. Who are you following? It is better to be at the back of a lion than the back of a cow. If you have not been following JEUSS don’t deceive yourself you are not in the light. 

II. You must show genuine love to everyone - 1 John 2:9. Love everyone and don’t select and respect people. If you love God then you must love all. He that says he is in light but hates his brother, then he is in darkness. Is there anyone you hate? Then you are in darkness - 1 John 2:11. The Bible didn’t say your neighbor won’t offend you, but you must keep on forgiving them. You hate somebody then the Bible says you are in darkness. 1 John 3:15. The Bible says whoever hates his brother is a murderer -1 John 4:20. Anyone who hates his brother is a liar and you are in darkness. It doesn’t take you a second to forgive. Don’t hate anyone and don’t expect perfection from anyone.

III. You must be watchful and be vigilant - Luke 11:36. You must stand for something because if you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything. Let you NO be NO and your YES be YES. Sometimes, it is not easy to say No, but that No will help you. Joseph said No and that No took him to prison and to the palace and took him up. Say No when you should No.

IV. God wants us to shine. It is not enough to be an ordinary light. It is not enough to be a light. But you must be a shining light because it is a divine expectation - Matt 5:14-16. Let your light shine. Be a shining light. Let your light shine In your family, in your neighborhood and your environment. Don’t just remain a light be a shining light. 

V. As children of light God expects us to walk in the light - Ephesians 5:8. Let you light advertise Jesus. Let people see you and love to serve your God - 1 John 1:7.

Jesus is the light. Surrender your life to God by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. ACCEPT JESUS TODAY AND BE SAVED. 

Prayer Points. 

1. Father, I thank you for light, please give me the grace to walk in light all the days of my life.

2. Father, please give me the grace to follow you and follow you to the end.

3. Father, I want to shin, please polish me and transform me and let me shine.

4. Father, please destroy all the extinguisher that wants to put off my light, psychically and spiritually.

5. Father, please speak to my life and let darkness hear your voice and vanish completely.
