Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye - The Fruits Of Obedience

TOPIC: THE FRUITS OF OBEDIENCE
PREACHER: PASTOR J.T. KALEJAIYE

Obedience is a seed, if planted, planted will germinate and bear fruits for you and your children to reap.
In Genesis 26:5, God blessed Isaac because Abraham, his father obeyed God’s voice and kept his commandments, His charges, His statutes and His law.
It is your seed that determines your fruits.
·         In Acts 12:23, worms obeyed God; they ate King Herod beyond recognition.
·         In Jonah 1&2, a fish obey God, it carried and vomited Jonah on dry land.
·         In Exodus 14:21, strong wind obeyed God; it parted the red sea for God’s people to cross to the other side.
·         In Mark 4:39, storm obeyed God when Jesus commanded it to cease.

·         In 1 Kings 17:4, the Ravens obeyed God when God commanded them to take food to Elijah twice daily.
·         In John 11:43&44, the grave obeyed; when Jesus spoke, it released Lazarus instantly.
·         Even demons in Mark 3:11 obeyed; they recognized and obeyed Jesus.

Unfortunately, man that was created in God’s image finds it difficult to obey God. As a child of God, obedience simply means YES to God and No to Satan. The mother of Jesus said to the servants in John 2:5 that they should do whatsoever Jesus tells them to do. Most times what God will tell you to do may not agree with common sense but you have to obey because His ways and thoughts are higher than ours – Isaiah 55:8&9.
Some of the fruits of obedience are listed in Deuteronomy 28:1-14.
1.       Divine blessings: Overtaken and commanded blessings – Deut. 11:26-28.
2.       Fruitfulness in all areas.
3.       Productivity.
4.       Victory over all your enemies – Exodus 23:22.
5.       God’s glory will manifest in your life and you will shine.
6.       Prosperity – Job 36:11.
7.       You will be above only.
8.       Open Heaven.
