Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye- The Restorer

TOPIC: THE RESTORER
TEXT: LUKE 7:11-15
PREACHER: PASTOR J.T. KALEJAIYE

To restore is to return to its original or usable and functioning condition.
A restorer is one who restores.
Our God is a RESTORER – Jeremiah 30:17a, Joel 2:25. The Lord has the ability and the capability to restore life, opportunities, lost or stolen money, peace, health and so on.

According to the bible passage, the only son of a widow died; everybody thought it was over but Jesus, the Restorer of life stepped in and there was a great turnaround in the situation. The passage revealed certain facts about the Restorer;
1.       His Divine Presence: Jesus was present; his presence provoked the miraculous (Restoration) – Psalm 16:11
2.       Divine Compassion: When Jesus saw the widow, he had compassion on her. His compassion in turn provoked the miraculous (Restoration) – Matt 15:32-38, Matthew 20:30-34, Mark 1:40-42.
3.       Divine Touch: Jesus touched the coffin and the content arose. His divine touch provoked(s) the miraculous (Restoration). All the people that Jesus touched never remained the same. – Matthew 8:14&15, Matthew 20:30-34.
4.       Divine Utterance: Jesus spoke and the boy arose. Divine utterance provokes the miraculous (Restoration) – Luke 7:14b, John 11:43&44.
5.       Divine Restoration: The dead boy arose and changed position after the Restorer intervened.
