Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye - And God Said
TEXT: GENESIS 1:1-4
PREACHER: PASTOR J.T. KALEJAIYE
God spoke to many people in the bible; the good news
is that God still speaks.
*God can speak to give instructions or directions
*He can speak to commend or condemn.
*He can speak to warn.
*He can speak to create and;
*He can also speak to reverse situations.
In this context, we are looking at God speaking to
reverse our ugly situations. The bible text contains “Information and
Revelation”.
The information is that God created the Heaves and the
Earth; the earth was formless, empty and covered with darkness. That was the
situation on ground. The God spoke; He said “Let there be” and there was. After
God spoke, there was;
1.
Transformation
2. Reformation.
3. Change
4. A replacement – darkness gave way for light.
5.
A separation – God separated
light from darkness.
There are 5 major Revelations from the passage;
1.
When God speaks, there will be
a performance – Genesis 1:3, Isaiah 55:11.
2. God is a creator- Jeremiah 30:17, 1 Samuel 2:6.
3. Darkness/Storms/Demons and Satan recognize the voice of God and they
must obey – Mark 4:37-39, John11
4. God is the unchangeable changer – He has the ability to reverse all
situations including the unpleasant and hopeless ones.
5.
Certain things/people/forces are
not meant to dwell together, so there must be a separation – God separated
light from darkness. Matthew 15:13.
