TOPIC: FRIENDSHIP WITH THE WORLD
TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14-18.

An adage says “Show me your friend and I will tell you who you are”
Another adage says “Birds of a feather flock together”
Another says “A sheep that associates with dogs will eat faeces”
The friends you keep can determine your destiny and your destination.
James 4:4b – You cannot be a friend of the world and at the same time be a friend of God.
John 15:14.
1 John 2:15-17.
2 Timothy 4:10.

We are in this world but we are not of this world – John 17:16, John15:19.
We are strangers in this world; one day, we will return home.  Every day that passes moves us nearer home; one day there will be no tomorrow.
2 Timothy 6:7 – All worldly possessions will be left behind.
Mark 8:36.
A life without Christ will suffer eternal crisis; what then can we do?
Romans 12:2, Matthew 7:21, Colossians 3:2, 2 Corinthians 4:18, Matthew 6:20&21, 1 John 5:11&12, John 3:17&18.

Punishment awaits the world – Isaiah 13:11b.

PRAYER POINTS
1.       Father, please give me grace to do your will always in Jesus’ name.
2.       Father, please disconnect me from any bridge that connects me to failure, poverty in Jesus’ name.
3.       Father, please give me the grace to end well in Jesus’ name.
