God will fight for you
TOPIC: GOD WILL FIGHT FOR YOU
TEXT: EXODUS 14: 10-14
PREACHER: PASTOR J.T. KALEJAIYE
When God
fights for you,
1.Victory is guaranteed
· 2. You will certainly see the end of your enemies
·
3. Your enemies will suffer defeat.
The above bible text revealed how God fought for the
children of Israel and how He fought against their enemies. God fought against
King Pharaoh and the Egyptians because they oppressed and suppressed the
children of Israel. The children of Israel served the Egyptians for many years.
When they could no longer bear and endure the pains and hardship, they cried
unto God for help. Psalm 50:15 SAYS “And call upon me in the day of trouble; I
will deliver thee and thou shall glorify me”
King Pharaoh and his people suffered great losses, pains and
severe agony. Despite all the calamities that befell Pharaoh and his people,
they still pursued God’s people but when they got to the red sea, there was a
divine intervention.
-
God created a way for His people
-
God fought for His own people and granted them
victory without a fight
-
The children of Israel saw the end of all their
enemies
-
They crossed to the other side but the enemies
died. None of them escaped.
God has different methods/ways of dealing with the enemies.
Some of which are as follows;
1. He can harden their hearts in order to
destroy them: That was what He did to Pharaoh before He destroyed him and
his army.
2. He can prepare a table before you in the
presence of your enemies: Psalm 23:5. After you must have finished eating,
the enemies will pack the plates and wash them.
3. He can make them fall for your sake: Isaiah
54:15
4. God can disgrace them: Esther 6:12
5. God can make your enemies replace you in
the grave: Daniel 6:24, Esther 7:10.
6. God can scatter your enemies: Psalm
68:1
7. God can make uniform for them: Psalm
132:18
8. God can cause the ground to open and
swallow your enemies: Numbers 16:32
9.
God can turn your enemies to food for other
creations to feed on.
-
King Herod became food for the worms
-
Goliath became food for the birds
-
King Pharaoh and his army became ford for the
fishes.
10. God can feed the enemies with their own
flesh and blood. Isaiah 49:26
11. God can turn the enemies against another. II
Chronicles 20: 23-24
12. God can withdraw His peace from your
enemies: Isaiah 48:22
13. God can forgive or have mercy on them if
they repent or leave you alone.
