TOPIC: DIVINE RECOMMENDATION

PREACHER: PASTOR J.T. KALEJAIYE

Many people are where they are today through human or divine recommendation; some people are where they are today through the recommendation of their godfathers.

If you don’t have a godfather, don’t worry, God the father will recommend you in Jesus’ name.

Man can recommend you to your helpers…

·         In Genesis 41:9-14: The chief butler recommended Joseph to king Pharaoh before Joseph became a Prime Minister.

·         In 2 Kings 5:3: A maid in the house of Naaman recommended Elisha to her master; after Naaman encountered Elisha, his reproach (leprosy) was taken away.

Lesson: God can use anyone for you. Therefore, never look down on anybody.

God can recommend you to your helpers…

He can recommend you to people you don’t know; He can also recommend you o people who don’t know you.

·         A Biblical example of one that was divinely recommended is DAVID. According to 1 Samuel 16:1-13, God recommended David to Samuel. Samuel did not know David until God recommended David to him.

What happened after God’s recommendation of David to Samuel?

        *David was sent for; he received goodnews.

        *David was anointed several times – 1 Samuel 16:13, Psalm 89:20, 2 Samuel 2:4, 2 Samuel 5:3.

        *David became an object of envy.

        *David became untouchable – Psalm 105:15.

        *David changed position – He moved from the Animal kingdom to the Throne.

        *David began to rule/dominate.

   -Lessons to be taken home from the story of David;

        *God can grant you the desires of your heart; he can also grant you what you don’t deserve.

        *God does not use lazy people – Proverbs 22:29.

·         The second person that was divinely recommended is JOB. According to Job 1:8, God recommended Job to satan and Job didn’t disappoint God. God did that because he knew the the end result would take Job to a higher and better level. After the divine recommendation, Job suffered pains and losses but he eventually came out on top because God opened several chapters for him – Job 42:12-end.

·         The third person thaty was divinely recommended is KING SAUL. According to 1 Samuel 9:17, God recommended him to Samuel. After the recommendation;

-Saul ate with Samuel – what a great privilege.

-Saul received revelations

-Saul was anointed – 1 Samuel 10:1

-Saul prophesied

-Lastly, Saul became a king…

PRAYER POINTS

1.       Father, I need a divine recommendation, please recommend me to my Samuel.

2.       Father, please open a new chapter for me in Jesus’ name.

3.       Father, please anoint me afresh for greatness.

4.       Father, I am tired of stagnation, please reposition me to the top in Jesus’ name
