The Power Of Unity - Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye

TOPIC: THE POWER OF UNITY
TEXT: ACTS 12:1-10
PREACHER: PASTOR J.T. KALEJAIYE

Unity is strength - Leviticus 26:8.
Unity means Oneness - Ecclesiastes 4:9.
Unity means Togetherness - Psalm 133:1

Don't build a fence, build a bridge. Brethren must be in one accord with one another; there must be no racial discrimination and no class distinction in the body of Christ.
Even the weak become strong where there is unity.

Unity is a very powerful weapon of warfare -When spiders unite, they can tie down a lion. Where there is unity, there is victory. Amos 3:3.

Unity can provoke answered prayers - Matthew 18:19.

Unity can provoke God's presence; God's presence in turn provokes God's presents - Matthew 18:20.

According to the bible text, Peter and James were arrested and imprisoned . The church came in agreement to pray for them.
the united prayer of the church provoked 7 undeniable miracles;

1. Divine Intervention; The Almighty God intervened and He reversed the ugly situation.
2. Answered Prayers; The church prayed and their prayer didn't go into the voice mail
3. Divine interruption and cancellation: The king had a plan to eliminate Peter but God cancelled it.
4. Divine Visitation: God sent an Angel to the prison in order to deliver/rescue the Peter.
5. Victory: God granted Peter victory without a fight.
6. Freedom: Peter escaped death; he became a free man.
7. Testimony: Peter had a testimony to share.

NOTE: The church became unite when Peter was arrested; if they had prayed for James, the way the did Peter, James would have escaped death.
A closed mouth is a closed destiny.
Those who cry unto God will never cry unto man.

Prayer Points:
1. Father, please deliver all the Peters and all the James who are in bondage in Jesus' name.
2. Father, please open a new chapter for me.
